Nigel has an instinctive ability to identify and analyse all the factors that might affect a client’s situation and to outline the sequence of steps to achieve their desired results.  He brings a level of objectivity that helps him to anticipate any obstacles that might stand in his clients’ way and handle them proactively.

Nigel draws on his skills and experience to resolve matters efficiently, commercially and as practically as possible, whether through the courts or by negotiated outcomes.

While others might shy away from complex cases with unique quirks, Nigel embraces them and thrives on the task of unravelling complexities through good judgement and sound reasoning.

He regularly represents clients in deceased estate disputes, family provision claims, debt recovery and property and commercial disputes.

Nigel works closely with the firm’s technology partner, ContactsLaw to develop systems that enable the firm to dramatically reduce costs and improve service quality. He has also led the development of the firm’s innovative debt collection service, Get Paid Debt Collection.

As a recipient of the prestigious New Colombo Plan Scholarship, Nigel spent 2017 studying at Renmin University of China, Beijing and at the Chinese University of Hong Kong; as well as travelling the Asia-Pacific Region. He has pursued his interest in Australia-China relations by volunteering with NGO Stepping Stones China by teaching disadvantaged Chinese children English by video-link.

Nigel has taken his skills and experience to various intellectual pursuits. He twice won the University of Western Australia Open Mooting Competition and represented the University at numerous other national mooting competitions.

Nigel’s other interests include learning languages (currently Mandarin), travel, running, triathlon and scuba diving.
